Daily Basketball Analysis: 1/11/06 Shaq Versus Baron Davis
Best: Heat @ Warriors: At the very least Golden State should play the Heat tough. For Miami to not get wiped away like they did against Phoenix, they’ll need a great game for Shaq. With no Wade, he didn’t take a shot in that game until about 2 minutes left in the 1st. No wonder they lost. Adonal Foyle lost his starting spot to Ike Diogu, but will get the start to match up to the Diesel. This is his opportunity to get his job back. Predicted Score: Miami wins 105-103
Runner-up: Mavericks @ Knicks: It was a four seasons ago that these two teams had a 2OT game in New York. While the Knicks have changed their style of play completely (from good to bad) the Mavs are still the high-scoring team they were back then. Dallas needs to be more prolific on the road and take care of teams like this. Predicted Score: New York wins 107-103
Blowout: Magic @ Sonics: Orlando may play games in the low-90’s frequently, but they need to break loose and score if they really want to be successful. Rashard Lewis will have an advantage over Grant Hill and should be able to score over him. The end line underneath the basket should be a lot emptier after Steve Francis kicked a cameraman last year in Seattle. Predicted Score: Seattle wins 104-87
